Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdel-Atty outlined on Thursday the government's ambitious plans to attract foreign investment by empowering the private sector and creating a more business-friendly environment. During a working dinner organised by the British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA), Minister Abdel-Atty highlighted a range of initiatives, including tax incentives, a cap on public investment to encourage Egyptian and foreign private sector investors, and a national investment strategy targeting 65 per cent private sector involvement in total investments. These measures are designed to stimulate economic growth and increase foreign direct investment across key sectors. In closing, the minister reiterated Egypt's commitment to creating a business-friendly environment and addressing investment challenges. He assured attendees that the government is actively fostering partnerships and unlocking opportunities across sectors.
