Egypt's Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, inspected the construction site of the Menouf Oncology Centre as part of his field tours to monitor progress in health infrastructure projects and ensure the implementation of ongoing initiatives, according to the Cabinet's statement. The project, with an estimated cost of EGP 2.2 billion, spans an area of 29,000 square metres. The centre will feature a women's health unit, a nuclear medicine department, and an emergency section equipped with advanced cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation systems. The facility will house 15 outpatient clinics, including a primary triage clinic, two surgical clinics, two oncology treatment clinics, a chemotherapy clinic, a follow-up clinic, a palliative care clinic, two paediatric oncology clinics, two dental clinics, two sample collection rooms, and a pharmacy. Minister Abdel Ghaffar noted that the centre will also include comprehensive laboratory services, such as haematology, chemistry, bacteriology, hormone and tumour markers, pathology, PCR, and immunology labs, along with a histological analysis unit and a blood storage bank.
