Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has called on the government to intensify efforts to ensure the effective management of resources and assets in national projects, emphasising the need for adherence to the highest international standards. His directives came after a key meeting with senior officials, including Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny, and Minister of Investment Hassan El-Khatib on Thursday. The meeting focused on the progress of the Ministry of Housing's projects and investment plans for urban areas, along with updates on the New Administrative Capital. President El-Sisi stressed the importance of aligning new state projects with the broader national economic development strategy, aimed at boosting foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows. During the discussions, the president reviewed the development of facilities in the New Administrative Capital, designed to meet the global standards of a smart city. He was also briefed on the activities of the New Administrative Capital Company, with a particular focus on investment, marketing, and management of the central business district. President Sisi highlighted the importance of promoting this ambitious project on the international stage, aiming to position it as a major global hub that competes with the world's leading financial and business centers. Additionally, the president called for continuous monitoring of construction and operational activities within the central business district, stressing the need for strict adherence to timelines and the highest quality standards.
