EGX closes in green area on Dec 31 '24

Egypt's stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Tuesday, with the main index, EGX30 surging 1.42 per cent to 29,740.58 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 gained 2.16 per cent to 3,086.38 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 climbed by 2.14 per cent, to 8,143 points.
The price index, EGX100 index added 2.04 per cent, to 11,217.62 points.
The total market capitalisation recorded 2,169,813,947,782 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 5,474,110,306 Egyptian pounds and 23,691,252,718 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 29,165,363,024 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
1. Shares of Atlas for Investment & Food Industries (AIFI.CA) soared by 13.00 per cent, to close at 1.130 Egyptian pounds a share.
2. Shares of South Cairo and Giza Mills & Bakeries (SCFM.CA) jumped by 10.59 per cent, to close at 63.580 Egyptian pounds a share.
3. Shares of Mena Touristic and Real Estate Investment (MENA.CA) climbed by 10.23 per cent, to close at the price of 4.310 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
1. Shares of El Nasr For Manufacturing Agricultural Crops (ELNA.CA) plunged by 4.94 per cent, to close at the price of 26.920 Egyptian pounds a share.
2. Shares of Grand Investment Capital (GRCA.CA) inched down by 3.45 per cent, to trade at the price of 10.370 Egyptian pounds a share.
3. Shares of Osool ESB Securities Brokerage (EBSC.CA) lost 3.10 per cent, to the purchasing price of 0.719 Egyptian pounds a share.
