Uzbekistan has set an ambitious plan to increase its automotive industry exports to $700 million by 2025, according to a presidential press service announcement on Monday. The automotive sector currently contributes 10 per cent to the country's industrial production. Over the past ten months, the nation has manufactured 338,000 passenger cars and localised 1,400 types of components. Economic measures implemented by the government have led to a four per cent reduction in industry costs, enabling exports to reach $455 million. "Next year, the plan is to produce 450,000 vehicles and increase exports to 700 million dollars.
