ITIDA, NTI empower over 1,700 ICT students with in-demand tech skills

Egypt's Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI) have successfully concluded their annual Summer Internship Programme, training over 1,700 ICT students from across Egypt on the latest technological trends.
Launched in 2014, the programme provides free, hands-on training to computer science and engineering students. This year, students received training in various in-demand technologies, including 5G Technologies (22 trainees), Artificial Intelligence (282 trainees), Amazon Web Services Cloud (91 trainees), Big Data Analysis (59 trainees), and Cisco CCNA (324 trainees).
The training tracks also covered Cyber Ops Associate (232 trainees), Data Analysis skills for freelancers (100 trainees), Digital Design using FPGA (103 trainees), Graphic Design (55 trainees), and Internet of things Applications (IoT) (95 trainees). Additionally, the programme MEAN-Stack Web Development (63 trainees), Red Hat systems Administration (98 trainees), and Web Design (190 trainees).
Ahmed ElZaher, CEO of ITIDA, emphasised the importance of equipping Egypt's future tech talents with the latest skills to enhance their employability and explore freelancing opportunities. He highlighted the successful collaboration with NTI and commended the institute's expertise in delivering high-quality training programs.
Meanwhile, Ahmed Khattab, Director of NTI, noted that the programme provides students with the opportunity to acquire practical skills that align with the demands of the local and global job markets. The programme also included training in freelancing skills and personal development to prepare students for career opportunities.
The 2024 Summer Internship Programme trained over 1,700 students from various regions of Egypt, with a focus on empowering students with in-demand tech skills to meet the evolving needs of the ICT industry.
