European shares rose slightly at the beginning of Thursday's trading session, as investors awaited the Bank of England's (BoE) interest rate decision with anticipation. The pan-European STOXX 600 index increased by 1.75 per cent at 6:14 ET (10:14 GMT). Spain's IBEX 35 gained 0.72 per cent, while Germany's DAX rose by 1.42 per cent. France's CAC 40 saw a 1.95 per cent increase, and Switzerland's SMI was up by 1.01 per cent. London's FTSE 100 also climbed, rising by 1.19 per cent.
