European shares advanced in Wednesday early trade, driven by gains in the tech and basic resources sectors, as investors anticipated a key US inflation report that could offer insights into the Federal Reserve's upcoming interest rate decision. The pan-European STOXX 600 index increased by 0.56 per cent at 7:57 ET (11:57 GMT). Germany's DAX gained 0.34 per cent, France's CAC 40 rose 0.28 per cent, and Switzerland's SMI edged up 0.14 per cent. Meanwhile, London's FTSE 100 saw a 0.14 per cent rise.
