Tarek Kadry, general manager of Marine Insurance sector at Suez Canal Insurance Company, has been named the deputy head of the Marine Cargo Insurance Committee of the Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE) after Tarek Gamal, general manager of benefits department at Arab Misr Insurance Group (AMIG), was appointed as head of the committee. Kadry noted that these appointments are made according to seniority, not experience, adding that the committee discussed its suggestions concerning the marine insurance part in the insurance industry book being prepared by IFE. In other respect, Walid Sayed, member of the Fire Insurance sector at IFE and deputy head of Fire Insurance sector at AMIG, stated that the committee delayed its meeting which was slated to be held last week to next Monday because Alia Helmy, CEO of Delta Insurance Company, was absent. The committee will discuss the suggestions submitted by Helmy in the meeting. The committee will also discuss the conditions of stock insurance, he added.
