The Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA) will hold on February 3rd -12th the second session of the authority's simulation model, in which about 30 senior students from the faculties of economy and law participate. The session will be at the headquarters of the authority in the Smart Village. The model includes five-day lectures, and three days for practical implementation, during which the students will be divided into team works to discuss hypothetical issues concern the competition protection law. This model is a chance for training the students on how to work at the authority, and how to deal with complaints they receive about the monopolistic practices in the Egyptian market. Dr Mona El-Garf, Chairman of ECA, has elaborated that the simulation model is a training course for the students to enhance their research skills in the field of competition. She added that the simulation model is an important and practical method to increase the awareness of competition protection law and circulate the culture of competition among different classes of the society. It also contributes to training skillful cadres that the authority can depend on down the track.
