Egypt's Abu Soma Development partners with KOMPASS Education
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 30 - 08 - 2021

Egyptian property developer Abu Soma Development Company (ASDC) announced on Monday it had signed a cooperation agreement with KOMPASS Education, a major provider of early childhood education.
The agreement will see Abu Soma's flagship Somabay offering world-class education through an exceptional learning environment for children between the ages of 2.5 to 6 years old.
The KOMPASS Kindergarten in Soma Bay will launch by the end of the current year, having ambitious plans to establish a school adopting the same valuable approach.
"Hand in hand with KOMPASS Education, we ensure high-quality education and a phenomenal experience for children, optimising their creative and innovative skills while maximising their amusement throughout the process." said Ibrahim El-Missiri, Abu Soma Development Company's CEO.
"Reinforcing our strategy to develop Somabay as a permanent fully integrated residential community, rather than just being a seasonal tourist attraction, we strive hard to cater to all our clients' needs."
This partnership with Somabay marks KOMPASS Education's first expansion outside of Cairo, its chief executive Yasmin Helal said.
"Between a thoughtfully designed facility in the Somabay Marina and the beach centre, our children will have the best indoor and outdoor learning options. We trust that the Kompass Philosophy will comply with the needs of families who have sought out the peace and serenity that Somabay has to offer," said Carmen Ragab, COO and Co-founder of KOMPASS Education.
As a leading provider of Early Childhood Education since 2008, Abu Soma Development Company sought out this alliance, mainly with KOMPASS Education. Its unique approach aims at cultivating children's natural creativity and innovative thinking.
The 'KOMPASS Way' is based on the experience of progressive schools worldwide and mostly inspired by forward-thinking schools in Germany while being adapted to the local context and community.
In July, Abu Soma Development Company signed a memorandum of understanding with Egypt Education Platform (EEP) to develop and operate the first international school in Somabay under GEMS International Schools stream-EEP. The new school is officially set to launch in September 2023, providing quality educational services for the local community in Hurghada and the Red Sea governorate.
