Egypt has signed four new gold exploration contracts with Canadian miner Barrick Gold Corp, Ministry of Oil said in a statement on Monday. The contracts will see Barrick Gold Corp exploring for gold for the first time in Egypt across 19 new blocks in the Eastern Desert with investments estimated at around $8.8 million.
