Egypt's Samcrete Engineers and Contractors (SMCS) has signed binding agreements to establish two new road projects in Congo with total worth of $350 million, in addition, it is studying the possibility of establishing water projects in Tanzania and Uganda, according to its Business Development Manager Fady Kaldas . He added that these projects are part of the company's plans to expand in infrastructure projects across Africa. The projects in Congo include a national road linking two main cities established on 188 kilo metres, while the other road project is linked to a port established by Hassan Allam Sons. Furthermore, the projects are set to be completed within 3 years. The group's expansion plan in Africa aims at establishing various projects in the transport, infrastructure, energy and railway sectors, while creating fruitful partner ships with the public and the private sectors. He also noted that his company already has a presence in Liberia, Uganda, Congo, and Madagascar.
