Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 24 - 11 - 2012

In its efforts to be closer to its customers, National Bank of Oman “NBO" recently held a first of its kind Retail Banking “Souq" within the premises of Lulu Hypermarket, Barka. Salim Saad al Malki, a prominent businessman who was the guest of honour inaugurated the “NBO Souq" in the presence of the bank's senior management team.
The National Bank of Oman's Souq serves as a platform to deliver new levels of efficiency and convenience to the existing and new customers, showcasing all retail products under one roof. The direct sales team was present to assist customers with their enquiries on the bank's products. Through NBO Souq, a customer can easily apply for a loan, credit card and even open an account with the assistance of the direct sales team.
“This is a great opportunity to our customers as well as to the bank to meet and discuss the types of products and services that most suit the customers' needs and interests", Said Abdul Qader Ahmed, DGM — Head Of sales and distributions. “It is imperative to the Bank to be closer to its customers to convey to them its vision, direction and message of offering the very best of its products and services.
The bank's success is generally realized by effectively communicating information about its products and services to a target market. NBO Souq enables the direct sales team to identify and source new customers for the bank, engage customers through sales of multiple products and services and ultimately strengthening existing relations with them", Abdul Qader added.
Starting with the Batinah region, the bank plans to continue to take the NBO Souq on the road across the Sultanate, forging new relationships and solidifying established ones to deliver greater customer efficiencies.
