British drugmaker AstraZeneca targets a 16 percent growth in Egypt sales to more than 2.32 billion Egyptian pounds ($148.5 million) next year, its country chief executive said on Tuesday. "Next year, we expect 16 percent (sales) growth to reach 2 billion pounds approximately," Hatem Al-Wardani said at a press conference in Cairo. AstraZeneca's investments in Egypt reached this year around $60 million "or 500 million pounds", Al-Wardani added. "The company plans to increase its investments in Egypt for being a big promising market ... It is important to strongly exist, expand in this market, and support the progress the country is witnessing in its healthcare sector,"
