Vodafone Egypt Seizes 40% Of Mobile Market

According to the Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the number of mobile subscribers in the country reached around 93.7 million at the end of last September in which the mobile phone penetration rate exceeded 114%. The number of subscribers for Vodafone Egypt alone reached 38.19 million seizing around 40% of the total market share. The Egyptian Company for Mobile Services – Mobinil (EMOB.CA) seized 34.9% of the total market share. Moreover, the number of subscribers for Etisalat Egypt hit 22.6 million in September seizing around 24.3% of the total market share.
