Egypt has sent on Tuesday a military aircraft loaded with medical supplies to South Sudan to help it fight against the coronavirus, a statement by the Egyptian Armed Forces read. Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has ordered to send a military aircraft loaded with the needed medical aid to the South Sudan., according to a video posted on the Armed Forces spokesman Tamer El-Refaie's Facebook page. The supplies include medicines, medical equipment, disinfectants, protective suits for medical staff and large quantities of formula milk. "This aid is an affirmation of Egypt's leading role in Africa and a solidifying of cooperative relations and historical ties connecting Egypt with the continent," El-Refaie added. To date, South Sudan has reported 347 cases of coronavirus and six deaths.
