Gold prices in Egypt rose on Tuesday by 5.21 Egyptian pounds ($0.33) per gram. According to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad, the price of 21-carat gold, the most popular in the local market, reached 687.85 pounds, while 18-carat gold increased to 589.58 pounds. The rise in local market was driven by global increase in gold prices for the ounce to $1,524 for today, compared to $1,514 for the day before.
