Hundreds of Ceramica Cleopatra workers protested Monday morning outside the presidential palace, demanding a meeting with President Mohamed Morsy to voice their complaints against their employer, businessman Mohamed Abul Enein. The protesters, who are members of the company staff union in 10th of Ramadan City and Suez, demand the disbursement of delayed profits and allowances that they are waiting for, and the reinstatement of workers who have been fired. “The workers have come here to the presidential palace to meet with Morsy after being fed up with Abul Enein's failure to keep earlier promises he made in the presence of army and government officials,” Ahmed Salah, the deputy head of the union, told Al-Masry Al-Youm.
