سألت التاريخ وسألت مينا             
                                     وسينا وكل اللى قبلينا
سألت طه والمسيح                
                                      ونبض قلبى وأم الدبيح
سألت الشمس والنيل والمساجد       
                                      القمر والليل والمعابد     
عن خير عمره ما ينعد ولا ينفض 
                                      قالوا بنبض واحد عمر مصر فى الأرض
طول عمر مصر ولاَّدة             
                                       وقوللى كلكم عارفينه يا سادة
عن محمد على تحكى القناطر ; 
                                   وعن ترابى يروى عرابى ومصطفى وناصر
السد عالى والرى دايم                   
                                       والزى زاهى والوز عايم
والنيل زيادة وفى توشكى صب         
                                        والرملة صفرة ما ترضى رب
شافها مبارك قال يا شعب                 
                                         روح لتوشكى ما يبقى صعب
يالله يا مصرى عيد تاريخك              
                                          ارو توشكى وبل ريقك
اقلع صفار ازرع خضار                
                                           يطلع نهار وتوشكى دار
أتحنى وغن عالكمان                  
                                            تلقى فى توشكى الدهب ألوان
عمار ودار وبرج حمام             
                                             وقمح وقطن فى توشكى دام
وغن وارقص زى السنابل بالقافطين   
                                           ده فى توشكى خُضرة وضلة بنت طين
طول عمر مصر الرخا فيها آية   
                                       توشكى مبارك أحلى حكاية لأجيالنا الجايا
