Dozens of people protested in front of the Israeli Embassy in Cairo after Friday prayers, calling on the Egyptian government to expel the Israeli ambassador from the country. The demonstrators also condemned the killing of an Egyptian security officer and two military soldiers, and the wounding of two others, during an Israeli raid on armed militants along the Egypt-Israel border in Sinai on Thursday. The protesters could be heard chanting: "People want to end Camp David," "We will keep repeating it a generation after another: we will not recognize Israel," and "Down, down, Israel, get out of the Nile Valley." A heavy presence of military personnel, including two armored vehicles, was stationed at the entrance to the building where the Israeli Embassy is located. Israeli forces in a helicopter chased the gunmen to the city of Rafah and opened fire on the border area, killing the Egyptian security personnel. Translated from the Arabic Edition
