The swearing in ceremony for the new ministers nominated to Prime Minister Essam Sharaf's cabinet has been postponed, Egyptian state-owned TV reported. The ceremony was set to take place in front of the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces on Monday afternoon. According to the state-owned Nile News channel, the new ministers will be sworn in on Tuesday following “discussions," which will be finalized on Monday. The government already announced Sharaf's decision to cancel the nomination of the Abdel Fatah al-Banna as antiquities minister after dozens of archaeologists protested against the decision outside the cabinet building on Monday morning. Political movements and parties staging a sit-in in Saad Zaghloul Square in Alexandria said the ministerial changes were disappointing. The protesters said they will continue their sit-in until the revolution's demands are realized and those accused of killing protesters during the 25 January revolution are brought to justice. The Revolution Youth Coalition of Alexandria called for a mass demonstration on Friday to voice its objections to the new cabinet and the slow implementation of the revolution's demands.
