An Egyptian court on Monday ruled to stop the broadcasts of 14 satellite channels on Nilesat that incite against rebels in Libya, the court said. The case was filed by several Egyptian lawyers and Libyan citizens, who said the channels are controlled by the regime of Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi and present false information about the rebels. Qadhafi's regime uses content broadcast on Libyan state-run TV in a smear campaign against the rebellion, which started on 17 February. News reports broadcast by pro-Qadhafi channels describe the revolutionaries as "saboteurs" who "take hallucination pills." In March, NATO took military action to implement a UN Security Council resolution that imposed a no-fly zone over Libya.
