Weekend events
Published in Almasry Alyoum on 04 - 11 - 2010

Sangria
In the spirit of gathering all those who create and sell together in one place, Sangria's version of the "fashion bazaar" will be this weekend's Family Fiesta. On both Friday and Saturday, people are welcome to come by the Sangria garden to peruse booths of everything from clothing and jewelry to paintings, accessories, bed linens and teeth whitening. The two-day affair promises to be activity-packed. Visitors can have lunch at Sangria for a mid shopping day break--minimum charge for sitting is 100 per person. Entrance to the bazaar is free.
Azhar Park
Another bazaar is taking place on Friday 5 November at Azhar Park. Perhaps at a lower budget range, the ‘7-Touch' Bazaar appears to include jewelry, children's clothing and women's clothing and accessories. The event may be worth stopping by if only for Azhar Park's beautiful landscape coupled with the positive weather forecast for the weekend. You can pass by Azhar Park to see the bazaar any time from 11AM to 11PM.
Suq El-Osra
Suq El-Osra is setting up its annual open air market at the Montessori International Preschool in 6th of October this weekend. The fair will include cards by Al-Masry Al-Youm featuring Yasmine al-Mehairy as well as kids clothing, 2nd hand kids gear from the Midan al-Osra organization and other items including toys, hand crafts and accessories. The school grounds are located in the Green Heights compound and the market will be open on both Friday and Saturday from 11AM to 3PM.
‘How I See It' at Townhouse
On the other side of the entrepreneurial equation, Townhouse will host a series of lectures aimed at encouraging entrepreneurs to pursue their business ideas and giving advice to those who have already started businesses on Friday 5 November in the evening from 6:30PM until 9:30PM. The event is free of charge and the schedule can be found at: www.endeavoreg.org. Townhouse's Rawabet Theater will also host the first class in a Hip-hop and Capoeira workshop with SAWA and Reason&Rhymes on Saturday 6 November. The workshop is also free of charge.
