Thousands of supporters of deposed President Mohamed Morsy's supporters marched from the Doctors Syndicate to the Cabinet building in Cairo Wednesday, in protest against the formation of a new interim administration. Protesters swamped Qasr al-Aini in central Cairo, demanding Morsy be reinstated as Egyptian president. Other smaller marches joined the rally as demonstrators blocked the street and paralyzed traffic. Protesters could be seen forming human chains to secure the march, vowing to remain there until 5 pm. Chants against Defence Minister General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi could be heard over loudspeakers in the area. Crowds also raised banners reading “No to treason” and “No to the military coup.” Edited translation from Al-Masry Al-Youm
