Hundreds of Egyptian students gathered yesterday at Cairo, Al-Azhar and Zagazig universities to protest Israel's raid on Al-Aqsa mosque and the inclusion of the Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron and the Bilal mosque in Bethlehem on a list of Jewish heritage sites. Cairo University students began their protest at the university's main gates, causing clashes between the protesters and the security guards who surrounded the protesting students. The students shouted slogans calling on Arab leaders to take action against Israeli aggression. Al-Azhar students marched through the university, chanting slogans citing the Islamic significance of the Al-Aqsa and Ibrahimi mosques and condemning the Israeli occupation. The protest ended with a conference in front of the Faculty of Arabic Language. At the conference, the students called on Arab governments to put an end to the humiliation of Al-Aqsa, to stop gas exports to Israel, and to halt the construction of Egypt's wall on the border with Gaza. Muslim Brotherhood students at Zagazig University also organized a number of protests. They chanted against the Israeli occupation, saying, "No to the Judaizing of Al-Aqsa."
