Scandal in Tel Aviv: Israeli Navy Commander Customer of Striptease Clubs
Published in Almasry Alyoum on 06 - 03 - 2009

While the scandal of the former Israeli President Moshe Katsav sexually harassing a female employee of the Presidential Palace is still hot, a reporter of Yediot Aharonot dropped a new bombshell about the Israeli Navy Commander hiding from public opinion his secret life in a nudist club in Tel Aviv.

When unknown reporter Barkai Naeh was in Go-Go Nightclub, he saw a familiar face sitting near the stage and flirting with the strip dancers.
He was surprised to see that the man was Eliezer Marume, the Navy Commander, with his Chinese features that could not be mistaken, and that make his friends call him ‘Chiny'.

So Naeh hit his first and finished off the future of the Navy Commander, who was officially reprimanded from the Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi. Marume thought the matter would end by apologizing, but it has turned into the talk of town in Tel Aviv.

The Go-Go staff told Haaretz that Marume is a regular customer, though this time they thought he was one of the illegal Chinese workers who go to cheap bars and watch strip shows.
Witnesses said Chiny usually comes to the club alone and stays for an hour or an hour and a half. He comes dressed in civilian clothes so as not to get noticed, and he prefers to sit to the right of the stage. They said that last time a dancer sat on his lap.
Ariana Melamed of Yediot Aharonot called for dismissing him from service and dumping him at sea, as he is a bad example for young soldiers, and the taxpayers should not pay for his sexual whims.
Also the Speakers Forum issued a statement on behalf of the Armed Forces, demanding his immediate dismissal so as to maintain ethics within the military institution.
