There were celebrations around the world for Barack Obama, the first black American President in the White House. The celebrations started in the village of Obama's father in Kenya, and in cities called Obama in Japan and Holland. A global poll in 17 countries showed that 67% of the world's population believes that America's relations with the countries of the world would be much better under Obama than under Bush. Obama in his inauguration ceremony paid tribute to Martin Luther King, and renewed the promise of the American dream. The U.S. media reported that Obama in his first days will begin with the Iraq war, the situation in Gaza and the economic crisis.
