Hundreds of killed, thousands of injured and the blood spilling on Gaza's soil prompted some Arab singers to call off their exhibitions on New Year's Night. Several Arab pop singers and TV channels announced their mourning for Gaza's victims of political games, who suffered at war and peace with no differentiation between women and children. Al-Kharafi Group issued a statement calling off a celebration due to be staged in Port Ghalib (Egypt) with several stars. Likewise, the Egyptian Television cancelled the celebration which was due to be recorded on Tuesday evening to be broadcast on New Year's Night. Lebanese pop singer Fadl Shaker called off two concerts due to be held in Beirut. He also issued a statement in which he offered his condolences to the Palestinian victims' families. Likewise, Iraqi Kazim al-Sahir called off a concert in Bahrain in solidarity with the Palestinians. Meanwhile, the Jordanian Television cancelled all New Year celebrations because of the events in Gaza, while the city of Dubai cancelled the Dubai Nights Festival with several stars. Tunisian Latifa cancelled all her activities, including an appearance at the Egyptian TV program "El-Beit Beitak", to follow up on the events in Gaza. Likewise, Syrian Asala also said she would appear in the program "Huna el-Qahera" [Here Cairo]. Mohamed Munir will not attend the New Year concert at the Opera House in Cairo for the first time in six years. The ceremony was indeed cancelled and the Opera House said it would fix another date to hold it. As for the tickets, which had been sold out 15 days ago, their holders can either be given their money back - if they want to - or keep them to attend the concert later on, the Opera House said. On the other hand, it seems Gaza massacres have not persuaded other Arab stars to call out their concerts or not to take part in the New Year parties held by Egyptian hotels.
