19,926 Egyptian pilgrims, including 2,000 from Cairo, arrived in Medina, but 13,840 of them were then taken to Mecca, with no problems in terms of transportation and accommodation, when Saudi authorities stopped the flow of pilgrims to Medina. The Egyptian information mission announced the death of 56-year-old Raga Mohamed Mohamed Qartam from Qalyubia. She was buried in Medina as wished by her family. Meanwhile, 19 Egyptian pilgrims have been admitted to Saudi hospitals after suffering from hemorrhage and high blood pressure. Nine of them are in serious conditions. The operation room of the Egyptian mission accompanying the pilgrims has prepared a plan for the trip. Pilgrims deliver their luggage, of a different color for every group, at 11 p.m. on the day of the departure. The luggage is sent to Mecca while the pilgrims leave at 7 a.m. after getting the name of the hotel, the room number and the name of the supervising officer. As soon as they arrive, Medina's operation room informs its counterpart in Mecca of the pilgrims' arrival. Speaking to Al-Masry Al-Youm in front of the Prophet's Mosque, Palestinian pilgrims said they were happy that Hamas and Fatah were moving toward an entente. They blessed Mahmoud Abbas as president of the Palestinian state and called on Palestinians to leave aside their personal disputes and try to reach national unity for the sake of their cause. They said internal disputes and fighting have weakened Palestinians' position in front of the world and have given a unique chance to Israel to achieve its goals by keeping on building the separating wall and by besieging the Palestinians and starving them to death.
