Mubarak Discusses Lebanese and Palestinian Causes with Saudi Monarch….. News of Arab Reconciliation meetings in NAM Summit
Published in Almasry Alyoum on 29 - 06 - 2009

Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak, held a bilateral talk yesterday with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This discussion focused on bilateral relations between the two countries as well as the ways of enhancing them in various fields, in addition to regional and international issues of common concern.
President Mubarak was accompanied by the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Abul-Gheit, the Egyptian Minister of Information, Anas el-Feky and Professor Zakaria Azmi, President Mubarak's Chief of Staff.

On the other hand, the Saudi Press Agency said that the summit focused on the latest developments in the Middle East and the Palestinian itineraries of settlement, as well as Palestinian dialogue.

However, both Abdullah and Mubarak discussed the situation in Lebanon. Egyptian sources confirmed that the talks focused on the efforts of the Arab reconciliation in the coming period, and the possibility of holding several meetings for this reconciliation.
Such meetings were also supposed to be held on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit, which, in turn, was supposed to be held at Sharm el-Sheikh Resort, from July 11 to July 16.
