Abu-Dhabi - UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash expressed resentment over the Qatari decision to return its ambassador to Tehran. He described the step as an attempt to escalate the political conflict with its neighboring states. Gargash said that Doha has escalated its troubles by announcing plans they had in mind in Yemen or Iran, stressing that the Qatari regime lacked wisdom and flexibility to managed the crisis. Gargash stressed that the Qatari approach in dealing with the crisis since its beginning aims not to resolve the controversial issues with the neighboring states, while to prolong the problem to achieve the interests of non-Arab states. Gargash's statements came after the decision taken by the Qatari government to return its ambassador to Iran. Qatar's Foreign Ministry said, in its statement, that the ambassador returned to resume all his duties, aspiring to strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields. The Qatari step has been considered by many experts as escalation against the neighboring states, as the four Arab countries combating terrorism, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain, handed the Qatari government a list of 13 demands in June to achieve reconciliation, including reducing diplomatic relations with Iran. Gargash added, "The management of the crisis caused the burning of bridges, the squandering of sovereignty and the deepening of the Qatari crisis and undermined what remained of the mediator's chances, the wisdom that we hoped for was completely absent."
