Bangladeshi Ambassador in Cairo: People of Bangladesh highly revere Al-Azhar

Cairo - Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb received the ambassador of Bangladesh to Egypt on Monday.

Al-Tayeb welcomed the ambassador at the al-Azhar Sheikhdom (headquarters of Al-Azhar in downtown Cairo). The ambassador said that al-Azhar represents the tolerance of Islam, corrects misconceptions, and works to consolidate the values of peace that all religions have come with.

The Bangladeshi ambassador expressed his appreciation of al-Azhar's efforts in spreading and imparting sound Islamic knowledge for Muslims around the globe, stressing that people of Bangladesh highly regard al-Azhar and its scholars.
