Cairo - Egypt strongly condemned on Saturday the terrorist attempt to attack Makkah in Saudi Arabia, calling on the international community to join efforts in fighting terrorism. In a statement released by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the country expressed full support to Saudi Arabia in defending its security and stability. Meanwhile, Egypt's Grand Mufti Shawki Allam also condemned the heinous terrorist act that targeted worshippers during the holy month of Ramadan and was foiled by Saudi authorities on Friday. A suicide bomber blew himself up near the Grand Mosque in Mecca as police disrupted a plot to target the holiest site in Islam just as the fasting month of Ramadan ends and its resulted in the death of the suicide bomber and wounding 11 others, Saudi security forces said Saturday.
