Cairo – Egypt's Parliament Speaker said foreign documents on the two Red Sea islands (Tiran and Sanafir) are not proof against Egypt. Ali Abdel Aal stressed that the documents and maps of the Armed Forces and Egyptian geographic society are the only papers recognized when the demarcation agreement of maritime border between Saudi Arabia and Egypt is debated. Abdel Aal made his remarks to comment on an expert's opinion, who noted that there are foreign documents proving that the two islands are Egyptian.
