Cairo - Egyptian commentators received the news of Tehran attacks early Wednesday with skepticism, claiming it might be staged by the Iranian regime. Twin attacks on the Iranian parliament and Ayatollah Khomeini's mausoleum in the capital, Tehran, have killed at least 12 people and injured many more. Political expert Hassan Abu Taleb said that the bombings witnessed in Iran raise skepticism, as they have come immediately after the crisis between Qatari regime and other neighbouring states. He added, in a statement to "Al Bawaba", that the attack targeted one of the most secure places in the Iranian capital of Tehran, 25 kilometers away from the headquarters of Iranian parliament, saying that the Iranian regime wants to send a message to the world that it is also threatened by the terrorists. What is called The Islamic State (IS, or ISIS) terrorist group has said it carried out the attacks, which would be a first in Iran. He signaled that the Persian state enjoys strong security arrangements especially in vital areas, stressing that it is difficult for the terrorists to infiltrate into such areas.
