Tunis - Egypt's candidate for the post of UNESCO director general Mushira Khattab was awarded the Fatima Fihriya Prize in Tunisia on Sunday, Middle East News Agency reported. The prize is a tribute to Fatima Fihriya, the founder of the oldest university in the world, said member of the Kairouan Conservation Association Ali Ben Said. Native of Kairouan, Fatima Fihriya, migrated with her family to Fes, Morocco, where she had the Al Karaouine Mosque built in the 9th century and in the process the University of Al-Karaouine was set up.
