Cairo - A daily update by Egypt's State Information Service showed that more numbers of tourists have visited historical and attraction spots in Southern Sinai. As many as 923 tourists of different nationalities visited Saint Catherine city over the past 24 hours, head of Saint Catherine Municipality El Sayed Abdel Sadeq said on Wednesday. The number includes 703 Indian tourists, he added. They toured Saint Catherine's Monastery, Mount Sinai, Saint Catherine Nature Reserve, Jebel Abbas, as well as several other religious and archaeological sites, Abdel Sadeq said. Saint Catherine's Monastery, officially "Sacred Monastery of the God-Trodden Mount Sinai", lies on the Sinai Peninsula, at the mouth of a gorge at the foot of Mount Sinai, in the city of Saint Catherine, Egypt in the South Sinai Governorate.
