"Nasim Fahim," the 54 years old hero of St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral's incident, was the church's guard in the Cathedral who lost his life during his attempt to stop the suicide bomber from entering the cathedral. He prevented the terrorist from entering the cathedral through the garage; as he directed him to enter through the metal detector which helped in minimizing numbers of victims. 12 people killed in this incident and 40 others were injured as a result of his interception to the terrorist. Moheb Shafiq, a people's Assembly official connected with St. Mark Cathedral in Alexandria, said that Fahim who have three children, was working in this place for many years. He added that he was a very kind person who loved each one, adding to that his big two advantages of being familiar with people who frequently came to the Church for praying and the experience resulted from his work as a security guard.
