The US dollar exchange rate against the pound declined to EGP 17.95 on Tuesday, marking its lowest level over the past two weeks. The dollar exchange rates in banks maintained EGP 18 mark over the last two weeks. According to the latest updates, the dollar exchange rate at the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Banque du Caire, the Suez Canal Bank, the Bank of Alexandria and the Export Development Bank of Egypt recorded EGP 17.95 for purchase and EGP 18.05 for sale, losing 15pts compared to Monday. At the Arab African Bank, BLOM Bank of Egypt, Faisal Islamic Bank, Baraka Bank, United Bank, Misr Iran Development Bank, Piraeus Bank, National Bank of Greece and Egyptian Gulf Bank the US dollar recorded EGP 18 for purchase and EGP 18.1 for sale, with a slight decline compared to Monday. At Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), Credit Agricole, Commercial International Bank (CIB), and Societe Arabe Internationale De Banque, the price of the US dollar reached EGP 18.05 for purchase and EGP 18.15 for sale. At HSBC, the US dollar rate recorded EGP 18.06 for purchase and EGP 18.2 for sale; whereas at the Housing and Development Bank it recorded EGP 18.1 for purchase and EGP 18.2 for sale.
