Cairo - Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Sunday a phone call from US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson as part of sustained coordination between the two countries, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid. Talks covered a set of issues of mutual concern including means of bolstering bilateral relations. They also took up regional conditions especially the situation in Libya and the future of political talks on Syria. The spokesman said the US top diplomat renewed his invitation to Shoukry to take part in a ministerial conference for the countries participating in the international coalition against Daesh terrorist group. The conference is set to kick off in Washington on March 22. Shoukry welcomed the participation in the meeting, added the spokesman.
