Cairo - Egyptian House of Representatives' Member Abdul Rahim Ali mourned loss of the prominent thinker ‘El-Sayed Yassin', Former Director of Al-Ahram Centre for political and strategic Studies. Ali, Founder and Chairperson of Al-Bawaba News Portal, commented on the great writer passing away, by posting an obituary on Ali's Face Book page, saying: I knew him twenty years ago in 1998 when I visited him at his office in Al-Ahram Newspaper to dedicate my first book titled "Risks of government-radical movements' deal". Ali added: I thought at first that I'm not going to hear from him again, but for my surprise a week later he published a book review for my work and then we became good friends. We co-worked in many think tanks over the next two decades. Yassin won the State Award and Nile Prize in sociology. He became the Director of Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies (1975-1995). He first obtained a Law degree from University of Alexandria, 1957. He had a Diploma in Criminal Sciences Institute, Faculty of Law, Cairo University, 1968 He is a graduate in law and social sciences, Ritjon University and the University of Paris (1964-1967). On his Career: Assistant researcher at the National Center for Social and Criminological Research (1957-1963). Director of Political and Strategic Studies Center, Al-Ahram (1975-1994). Professor Emeritus at the National Center for Social and Criminological Research in 1994. Member of the Supreme Council for Culture. Member of the Commission for Social Studies at the Supreme Council for Culture.
