Cairo - Chairwoman of the Egyptian National Council for Women (NCW) Maya Morsi on Tuesday chaired a high-level ministerial session that was held on the sidelines of the 61st round of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), which kicked off here. Today's session focused on achieving gender equality and empowering women to play a more active role at the economic level, Morsi noted. Women still face many forms of inequality and discrimination, a matter which should be handled to ensure a better future for them, she noted. Morsi called on governments to support the public and private sectors to provide more jobs for women.
