Cairo - On Tuesday, Egyptian Minister of Military Production Mohamed Al-Assar received a number of African ambassadors to Egypt, in the presence of Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Ahmed Idris. It aimed at developing new areas for cooperation between Egypt and African countries through reviewing all of the ministry's products and manufacturing capabilities. Al-Assar asserted on the importance of creating cooperation between African countries and its affiliated factories for the purpose of boosting the industrial and economic cooperation, Not only in military products, but also civilian products. In this regard, The Ministry has provided training sessions for Africans in Egypt, most of trainees were trained in the fields of optical fibers and mechatronics that are the bases of advanced technological industries in African Countries. Al-Assar added that his ministry is always keen to participate in African exhibitions, most recently the Ugandan exhibition which was held in October 2016, as well as the Khartoum exhibition held in January. Al-Assar invited the African ambassadors to visit the military production companies, learn about their capabilities, and encourage African companies and factories to sign new partnerships with the military production factories.
