Libya- Activists transmitted a video showing that the Defense Brigades for Benghazi had taken control of Ras Lanuf Airport, on Friday, after clashes with elements of the Libyan army. Local sources said earlier that the Defense Brigades seized control of the airport, which is located in Ras Lanuf on the east of Libyan coast and the oil Port of Sidra at the west of Ras Lanuf, which was formerly under control of the Libyan National Army. From its side, the Libyan Council of Representatives in a statement issued on Friday, declared that the army forces arrived till "the main airport" in Ras Lanuf, where the Libyan air force destroyed 40% of the attackers' forces mechanisms. The port of Sidra and Ras Lanuf are of the largest Libyan ports and their total absorptive capacity is reported to be about 600 thousand barrels per day.
