Cairo – Al-Azhar World Center for monitoring and electronic Fatwa (Advisory Opinion) delegated a Fatwa Committee to its wing in Cairo International Book Fair to answer the queries of its visitors during the period of the Book Fair. Fatwa Corner witnessed a great interest from its visitors since the inauguration of the Book Fair.
According to Azhar moderate right Islamic methodology, the members of the committee answered the religious questions the visitors think about. In addition, this committee holds continual sensitization campaigns aiming at communicating with the participants in the Book Fair with the purpose of emphasizing the risks of the false extremist thoughts disseminated by the terrorist groups although those thoughts are against the tolerance of the Islamic religion and the Committee advised the visitors to avoid falling in them.
Sheikh ‘Nassef Mohamed', a member of the Fatwa Committee, asserted that a large number of the Book Fair visitors visited the corner of the Committee to inquire about some Fatwas (advisory opinions) relevant to intellectual and doctrinal issues they think about and they are rest assured that the source of the Fatwa is right. He added that most of the visitors' inquiries were about inheritance matters, dealings and explanations of some verses of the Holy Quran and the Hadith (the sayings of Prophet Muhammad, Peace and Prayers be upon him).

From their side, the visitors of the Wing expressed their happiness with what was offered by the Fatwa Committee with regard to answering the questions they think about. They confirmed that this is a good initiative showing that Azhar is not sequestered from the people and that it addresses the erroneous, destructive and deviant ideas everywhere.
It was mentioned that Azhar participated for the first time in Cairo International Book Fair with a special wing in hall (4) at the Department of Egyptian Publishers Association through the participation of different sectors of Azhar (Azhar Library, Islamic Research Academy, Azhar Institute Sector, Azhar University, Azhar Media Center, Azhar global center for monitoring and e-Fatwa, Azhar Translation Center, and World Association of the Graduates of Al-Azhar)
