It's unknown if the explosive belt the hijacker on EgyptAir jet was real, but the safety procedures dealt with it as if it is, Egyptian civil aviation minister said Tuesday in a press conference. Minister Sherif Fathy asserted that the negotiations are ongoing to secure all left passengers on board. The hijacker had not made any concrete demands so far, he said, declining to give the nationalities of the passengers still on the plane. He declined to identify the hijacker.
