CBE raises EGP interest rate by 1.5%

The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decided to raise the main interest rate on the pound by 1.5% during its meeting held on Thursday.
This decision will increase the deposit rate and lending rate, to 10.75% and 11.75% respectively, the MPC announced.
