Egypt's parliament will participate in the Inter-Parliamentary Union's (IPU) next assembly scheduled on March 19 after its membership was frozen for almost two years for not having having a parliament, Al-Bawaba News reported Thursday. MP Tarek El-Kholy said, on a phone call to ONTV channel, that an Egyptian parliamentary delegation has flown to Lusaka, Zambia for the IPU 134th Assembly, pointing out that the delegation will hold several meetings on the sidelines of the assembly with the different participating delegations, to boost it relation with the international, Arab and Islamic parliaments, as well as European parliaments. Participating MPs from Egypt include parliament speaker Ali Abdel Al, secretary-general Ahmed Saadeddin, the head of the parliamentary bloc, Alaa Abed, and appointed MP Rania El-Wani.
