Malaysia's ambassador in Cairo, Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari said Monday in a statement to Middle East News Agency (MENA) that a high-level Malaysian delegation is currently in a visit to Egypt to discuss investment. A high-level delegation from Malaysia's chamber of commerce and industry is currently in a visit to Egypt to discuss investment opportunities and establish direct contacts with the Egyptian business circles, the ambassador explained. The ambassador revealed that the members of the delegation held effective meetings with officials of the general authority for investment and free zones, ministry of commerce and industry, and Suez Canal authority. He pointed out that the aim of the visit is to revive the Egyptian-Malaysian Business Association, in order to enhance economic cooperation. Furthermore, he stressed that a similar visit by Egyptian businessmen to his country is expected later this year.
